CYBERSPACE 1999
CYBERSPACE 1999 is a game where you explore a procedurally generated open-world virtual cityscape on a high-speed Light Cycle.
Note, in it's current state this is primarily a tech demo for multithreaded procedural mesh generation using Unity's Job System. Future development may include additional gameplay elements.

Setting
"The year is 1999, the future. Private mega-corporations have superceded all government. The only escape from this distopia is to CYBERSPACE. The year is 1999."
Part homage and part satire. This is a game set in a 1980s vision of a virtual world.
Inspired by:
- Neal Stephenson's 'Snow Crash'
- Tron
- Old VR, gaming, and tech ads
- That 3D episode of The Simpsons.
Development
This game was built around my 9-5 as a Software Engineer.
Total design and development effort was around 30 hours, most of which took place on the weekend.
All models, textures and scripts were created by me during the CyberPunk jam period except for those listed below:
Unity Standard Assets
- First Person Controller
